Situated 2 miles from Leeds city centre, Beeston is an inner city area, popular because of its convenient location and affordable property investments. It is largely split into two areas, Cross Flatts Park and Beeston Hill.

The Beeston area has improved significantly in recent years. In fact, a large portion of the area is scheduled to be completed redeveloped, providing fantastic opportunities for those looking to buy property in Beeston.

One of the most attractive things about Beeston is that it offers some of the most affordable housing in Leeds. The area largely consists of rented and social housing, including terraced houses and flats.

When trying to determine which part of Beeston to invest in, it helps to understand the types of housing typically found in each one. In the Beeston Hill area for example, the properties largely consist of social housing and Victorian terraces. It features an excellent multi-use games area including tennis and basketball courts, five-a-side football pitches, a cricket pitch, and outdoor gym equipment. There’s also a children’s play area.

The John Charles Centre for Sport is also great for fitness enthusiasts. It offers a wide range of fitness and sporting activities including circuits, boxing and yoga. The centre also hosts a range of events through its function suite.

Transport links

Buses run frequently through Beeston, taking you to nearby areas as well as the city centre. It’s connected to the city via the M621, which also gives you easy access to the M62 motorway. Beeston station closed in 1953 so you will need to travel to a nearby station if you want to travel by rail.

Beeston has improved a lot over the years, and is now providing great investment opportunities. If you’re looking for an affordable area to move to which is close to everything you could need, this is definitely an area you’ll want to consider.
